Another fabulous two days of oil painting with Graham! Interpretation and expression in landscape painting is key to depicting a sense of atmosphere and space. Using a variety of references from life to photographs we will take a broader look beyond the image itself towards designing, exploring and developing a dynamic landscape painting. We will look at artistic license when composing and the role tonal values have in changing the mood of a piece.

Using just three primary colours and white artist Graham Webber ROI will guide you through his fresh and exciting approach to oil painting. Working on a cityscape view you will learn how to identify perspective and apply it to your paintings while simplifying a busy subject with broad and expressive brushwork. You will be taken through the painting process in three easy stages with demonstrations of each stage and the chance to develop your own painting throughout the day.
Help and guidance will be on hand during the day and a reference image will be provided although you are welcome to bring your own references if you would like.
Some experience of drawing and painting would be useful but no previous experience in oil is necessary.

A home cooked lunch and all refreshments are included
